Aconcagua is an Argentinian mountain, 13 kilometers from the Chilean border. With a summit elevation of 9,962 m, it is the highest peak of the Andes. The Aconcagua pepper variety was named in honor of this natural monument. It produces massive fruits, that can reach 30 cm in length and weight 320 grams. Initially light green, they turn red once they are ripe. Flavourful, they are good in a salad as well as on the grill. High-yielding variety.

Gives early yields of uniformly coloured green or red peppers, ideal for our nordic short seasons as they reach maturity quickly. The Vinedale variety was created in 1928 by the Horticultural Research Institute of Ontario. It became very popular in the 1950s, but by the 1990s it had almost disappeared. Rare, please share.
