This american botanist and horticulturist was a pioneer in agricultural sciences. He created over 800 new plant varieties. Wonderberry plants produce large amounts of small dark purple fruits. Considering it is part of the solanaceae family, it is important to only eat fully ripe fruits. Green fruits contain solanin which can be toxic in large doses.
