Asparagus probably comes from the Mediterranean basin. It was first consumed by the Egyptians and the Greeks, from wild plants most of the time. Cultivation was later developed by the Romans, but only for the benefit of rich gourmets.
Usually asparagus is purchased as one-or-two-year-old crowns, mainly male ones. We decided to offer asparagus seeds because the diversity is greater coming from sexual reproduction than cloning. You should be able to start harvesting asparagus three years after sowing the seeds.
Package: 20 seeds
