Dark as the streets of Montreal deep into the night. Early, just as the arrival of winter over Quebec.
Easy, to be grown in the field as well as in a pot on a Plateau balcony.
Born in our field from a cross between 2 varieties, Black Crime and Teton de Venus, this tomato kept the dark colour of the former and the shape and density of the latter. It however yields much earlier than its parents, and produces much more.
The variety is quite stable, but might still display some irregular shapes. We are keeping up our breeding work with the hope of creating a perfect tomato.
The fruits are slightly smaller than a tennis ball. Our team carried a taste test and found a ...steak flavour! The foliage is regular, and the plant is not prone to diseases.

Indeterminate tomato giving multiple burgundy fruits, each barely bigger than a golf ball. The taste is well-balanced in terms of sweetness and acidity, making this variety one of our favorite cherry tomato. Perfect to eat straight from the plant as we stroll around the garden! The skin is thin and the flesh is very juicy. We've found this treasure during a trip in Ontario, at a seed farm (Antique Edibles).

Indeterminate.
Plant approximately 1,20 meters tall. Fruits between 150 and 250 grams.
This tomato is a cross between Black Krim and Zapotec tomatoes. It combines the best traits of these two heirloom classics. The flavor of the Black Ruffle is exceptional. The red purple fruit is pleated like an accordion. It is a rare variety really worth discovering.
