The Ariane pepper is a large bell pepper that goes from green to dark bright orange as it ripens. It has 4 lobes, thick flesh, and a mild and aromatic taste. The fruits are typically 7.5 by 9 cm long. This bell pepper was bred in Holland, in honor of the House of Orange, the nation's royal family.

Aconcagua is an Argentinian mountain, 13 kilometers from the Chilean border. With a summit elevation of 9,962 m, it is the highest peak of the Andes. The Aconcagua pepper variety was named in honor of this natural monument. It produces massive fruits, that can reach 30 cm in length and weight 320 grams. Initially light green, they turn red once they are ripe. Flavourful, they are good in a salad as well as on the grill. High-yielding variety.

The Jimmy Nardello peppers come from the Basilicata region in the south of Italy. This region has had a rich and diverse pepper culture for generations. The Jimmy Nardello first came to life in Giuseppe and Angella Nardello's garden in the 19th century. They emigrated to Connecticut in 1887, along with all of they children, and brought with them the seeds of this long and thin-skinned red pepper.
According to the story, their 4th child, Jimmy Nardello, became a passionated gardener. He kept on cultivating the family seeds which his parents had preserved all their lives. Shortly before his death, in 1983, he donated his seeds to Seed Savers Exchange and they quickly became famous amongst the farming community.
The Jimmy Nardello pepper is considered on of the best peppers to be fried because its flesh becomes tender and sweet. It is also delicious eaten fresh but can be dried as well. Upon maturity, it presents a deep red color, an elongated form and tends to twirls as it grows.

Gives early yields of uniformly coloured green or red peppers, ideal for our nordic short seasons as they reach maturity quickly. The Vinedale variety was created in 1928 by the Horticultural Research Institute of Ontario. It became very popular in the 1950s, but by the 1990s it had almost disappeared. Rare, please share.

Originally from the Doe Hill region in Virginia, this variety produces round and small sweet peppers. Its flesh is thick and it's skin very thin. It is perfectly adapted to our Northern climate as it produces early and abondant orange fruits. They can be eaten raw, stuffed or cooked. Their taste is refreshing and sweet.
