Catnip
Perennial plant originally from the Mediterranean basin (potentially from Egypt), naturalized all over Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. If the name includes the word 'cat', it is because this plant induces a strong reaction in most of those domesticated felines. They become euphoric and very excited; they will start rolling and sniffing around, and will do many other funny things. For humans, catnip is instead used to soothe pain and unrest. It is also relevant to mention that, before the British Empire discovered tea in its Chinese colonies, infused catnip was a favorite for the royal court. *This year, we were not able to harvest sufficient catnip seeds. Therefore, our seeds come from Jardin Vie-La-Joie. Package: 150 seeds (Germination is slow and sporadic, sow more than you need to obtain enough seedlings.)

It fits perfectly into wildflower bouquets, and can even help us find our soulmate: they love me, they love me not, they love me, they love me not... Moreover, the young fresh leaves can be eaten in a salad. Their taste is a little peppery. The flower bud can also be eaten, raw or like capers. In herbal medicine, dried daisy flowers are used for infusions. Daisy have antispasmodic, calming, digestive, and astringent properties, just like chamomile. Mapacho Sacred Tobacco
This type of tobacco comes from Central America, more precisely Mexico and Venezuela. It was grown during the pre-Columbian era in Mexico.
